There are many way to create, and edit text files in Linux; starting with one of the most simple ways we have gedit, or the gnome editor. Of course being a GUI tool you have to maintain access to the desktop of the machine that you are using. but this could be your own Linux desktop or perhaps accessing a server via VNC or RDP remote access protocols. In any case starting with a simple tool is always a great start. But we must not misunderstand what we mean by a simple too.; as you will see in the video we can use a snippets plugin to add template code to our text files.
